Zachary Babo, City of Revere

Zach Babo serves as the Parking Director for the City of Revere, Massachusetts, overseeing the operations of the City's Office of the Parking Clerk. He began his municipal parking career in July 2018 as a part-time Meter Technician, working 19.5 hours per week. After developing a strong interest in the parking industry, he advanced to a full-time Parking Control Officer and Meter Technician and later became an Administrative Assistant.

In August 2021, just over three years after beginning as a part-time employee, he was appointed Parking Director.

In his current role, Zach oversees Revere's parking operations and works closely with residents, municipal departments, elected officials, and vendors to develop practical and effective parking solutions. His responsibilities have also expanded to include oversight of Revere's crossing guard program, consisting of approximately 37 crossing guards who support pedestrian safety throughout the community. He has helped lead the modernization of the City's parking program, including its transition to digital resident permits and the implementation of license plate recognition technology.

Zach is committed to using technology and thoughtful policy development to improve municipal parking services while ensuring that programs remain accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the community.
